During the summer months The Tasty Ski Company operate a property development service. This is extremely unusual however it reflects the combination of the current economic climate and our development expertises.

Firstly, the biggest boost to UK buyers in France has been the steadily increasing value of the pound against the euro, which is effectively shedding tens of thousands of pounds off property prices in the euro zone. The pound is 15% stronger against the euro than it was last year and almost 20% stronger than two years ago. This trend is set continue for the foreseeable future.

The strength of the pound against the euro also reflects the low interest rates for countries in the euro zone. The European Central Bank base rate is at a historic low of 0.05%. This means that mortgages in France are being offered at very low interest rates. This is in contrast to the UK where interest rates are certain to rise in the next few years.

We have excellent working relationships with the local Mairies (the Mayor’s Office who have considerable power over property purchasing and development) and we understand the complex administrative processes that are involved. We offer a lease back program where The Tasty Ski Company rents the completed property from the owners, guaranteeing a secure long term investment return. The owner can take any number of weeks for themselves ensuring that they have their own personal base for the white stuff!
