Morillon is the home town of the 2006 Olympic downhill gold medallist Antoine Deneriaz. The Morillon tourist office are certainly keen for you to not miss out on this fact, and have put his name on every single cable car heading up to Morillon 1100 from Morillon Village. Indeed, despite only having a couple of thousand inhabitants, Morillon has an incredible knack of producing world class skiers.
