So it appears that Morzine has an excellent fine dining restaurant hidden right under our noses. Nestled at the back of Le Savoyede hotel in the centre of town, it is only about 150 metres away from our very own The Grange chalet. The dining room is stunning and the food is probably the best in Morzine if classic french haute cuisine is your bag. Here are a few snaps from the tasting menu that we had this week:

1

Fois Gras Creme Brulee with Smoked Perch

2

Vegetable Foam

3

Pressed Fois Gras with a Passion Fruit Chutney

4

Open Ravioli of Lobster

5

Roast Scallop and Bacon with a Celeriac Foam

6

Red Mullet with Gnocchi

7

Beef Fillet with an Onion Puree and Port Jus

8

Pudding (too much wine to remember, sorry)
